I think you are right on both accounts. Unfortunately I have been pressured considerably in the past to "push" COD and that has influenced the order here. Even thought COD is a good way to estimate BOD values, and it would result in FEWER dilutions, additional dilutions are often perceived as a better way to hit the actual value. It is certainly cheaper, even though running COD or using TSS can provide additional insight when things go wrong. --ChristopherFair 09:46, 8 January 2007 (CST)
